Strawberry, apple and mint jam

It sounds like a classic recipe, but it hides an extra touch.


Strawberry jam, in fact, gets a new look thanks to the combination with the fresh flavor of apple and mint: a delicacy to be stored in Lock-eat food jars and enjoyed on slices of fragrant bread, white or wholemeal, for breakfast or a snack... Its genuine taste will win over adults and children alike!


Ingredients:
- 1 kg ripe strawberries
- 500 g sugar
- 1 apple
- 5 mint leaves


Preparation:
Cut the strawberries and apple with the peel and cook the fruit with the sugar for 15 -20 minutes. Add the carefully washed mint leaves and blend the mixture.


Meanwhile sanitise the Lock-eat food jars for at least 10 minutes in boiling water, wash the toppings separately, by hand with hot water.


Fill the Lock-eat food jars with the boiling jam; the containers must be lukewarm to avoid an excessive temperature change.


To avoid breakage, do not place the jars on a cold surface such as marble or metal, preferably a wooden shelf. To avoid burns or scalds, we recommend handling the jars with gloves.


Place the food jars with jam in the pantry once they have cooled down.
